Now we are back in rainy England I wanted to just write and say thank you for your contribution to our time in Vietnam. I would happily recommend ethnic travel to anyone, from beginning to end you gave us trips to remember. Our time on the black river was truly memorable. It felt like getting off the tourist trail and entering the real Vietnam. We were blessed with a great guide, Lan who constantly tailored our trip to our needs and the weather, not to mention being a great cook.

The trip had it all great scenery, the fun of shopping in the market for our food and then going into the kitchen to cook. The two families we stayed with were great and very welcoming as were the villages in our second home stay who allowed our sons to fish in the ponds with them and then gave us an evening to remember when dancers and musicians turned up and put on a show which included our participation. In your broacher you should make more of the fact the car stays with you.

When we have done previous trips you are dropped off with your guide and picked up at the end. Here however baggage wasn’t an issue and we could lengthen or shorten the daily trips depending on energy levels and the weather a real bonus with children.

Having bikes for children was also a real advantage as in the Mekong there were just adult bikes We also had a great trip to the Mekong but would recommend the extra night we only did one so it is a lot of driving. That said it was still worth it with a very comfortable home stay and some of the best food we had in Vietnam.

Again the host family were great as were the people we encountered on the trip who provided impromptu drips and baskets of fruit. Our guide Van was informative and again went out of our way to ensure a memorable trip. The organization of both trips was first class including being picked up and dropped off on time at our hotels. Both of our trips were great value for money.

Thanks again we had 3 great weeks in Vietnam and the trips we had with you were a big part of that, as our pictures show.
